ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS PROMOTES AIRTIME BONUS

Rogers AT&T Wireless released a new commercial for its "Wherever U R Airtime Bonus" offer during yesterday's broadcast of the Super Bowl. Customers who receive the bonus get up to $100 in airtime per month for three months when they activate a phone on a Rogers AT&T Wireless plan. The 30-second ad, called "Cat Scratch Fever," depicts a snowboarder arriving at a Whistler resort. Before checking in he call home. An answering machine picks up. He leaves the messages "I miss you already," "I love you" and "I hope you're not mad I had to go away on our anniversary." The viewer then sees that the man is leaving the messages for his cat, which has clawed a piece of furniture and growls as it listens to the messages. Rogers AT&T Wireless is also supporting the Airtime Bonus with in-store, print, magazine and radio advertising. A second television commercial will begin running in early February. Advertising for Rogers AT&T Wireless is done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto.
