COMPUSERVE SWITCHES AGENCIES

Less than six months after hiring Martin/Williams of Minneapolis, CompuServe has given its estimated $35-million(US) account to DDB Needham Worldwide of Chicago. The worldwide commercial computer network decided it needs an agency with a global presence, which DDB has and Martin/Williams does not. Martin/Williams is being kept on for special projects such as Project Wow, Compuserve's new service debuting this spring. Wow will basically integrate Compuserve with the World Wide Web. Last October CompuServe said it would give its marketing effort a boost, including a quadrupling of national TV spending.
