FOOD NETWORK BEGINS IMAGE CAMPAIGN

Alliance Atlantis Communication's specialty station Food Network Canada will begin its third season with a new image campaign that will break on Aug. 26. The marketing campaign will showcase several of the network's hosts, including Jamie Oliver, Christine Cushing, Bob Blumer, Rob Feenie and Nigella Lawson, in outdoor, print and on-air creative. Oliver of The Naked Chef and new series Oliver's Twist, Cushing of Christine Cushing Live and Blumer of The Surreal Gourmet appear in outdoor ads which will run for one month on transit shelters, backlit displays and billboards in Go Transit, TTC and Sky Train stations in Toronto and Vancouver. The three hosts, along with Lawson of Nigella Bites and new series Forever Summer, also appear in print advertising in the September and October issues of Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Style at Home, Toronto Life, Vancouver Life and television listings publications. The campaign's on-air creative, which will run through the television season, makes use of Oliver, Cushing, Blumer and Feenie of New Classics with Chef Rob Feenie. Each host is individually promoted in 30- and 15-second spots. The print and outdoor components of the campaign were created by FCB Toronto. The broadcast ads were created in-house by Alliance Atlantis.
