WESTIN BEDS DOWN WITH DDB

Westin Hotels and Resorts has chosen DDB Needham Worldwide of Chicago to handle its estimated $16-million(US) account. In Canada, all creative and media buying comes from the U.S. agency. Westin's Canadian ad budget for 1996 is $2 million. DDB was given the account in a review with TBWA Chiat/Day and five-year incumbent Cole & Weber , both of New York. The review followed the sale of the hotel chain to Starwood Capital Group and Goldman, Sachs & Company early last year.
