AGENCY GETS TWO HOTELS
By Adnews Staff
TBWA/Chiat Day was handed the Liverton Hotels International account earlier this month, which brings with it billings of $1 million to $2 million annually. The agency's Toronto office won the business in a competition with Terry O Communications of Toronto and two other unnamed agencies. In a release, Liverton president Henry Wu points to Chiat/Day's service industry experience and broad range of resources. Liverton has two hotels in Canada, one in Toronto and the other in Vancouver. Terry O, the incumbent on the Toronto property, will continue to handle advertising for the Cantonese restaurant in the hotel. In Vancouver, advertising was done in-house. Chiat/Day has partnered with Ken Koo Creative Group of Vancouver to handle ethnic advertising and corporate design work.
