SASKATCHEWAN DRIVERS ENCOURAGED TO SHARE THE ROAD
By Adnews Staff
Saskatchewan drivers of all ages are the target of an awareness effort designed to educate drivers of smaller vehicles how to avoid collisions with semi trailer units and trucks. The initiative is a component of an ongoing Share the Road program sponsored by the Transportation Partnership Fund. The Share the Road summer ad campaign is timed to coincide with the increased traffic expected on the province's highways during the summer season, according to John Meed, chairman of the Share the Road Committee. Television, radio, print and billboard advertising has been created by Quest Communications of Regina. The creative uses the image of a football field to depict the distance it takes a trailer to safely stop while travelling on highways.
