FAMILY CHANNEL, DAIRY QUEEN, WORLD OF VACATIONS, CARLSON WAGONLIT TRAVEL HOLD SUMMER PROMOTION

Family Channel is promoting its annual FunShine Tour with a contest. The tour runs from June 1 to Sept. 2. It will stop at approximately 35 events in Canada at which two tents will offer games and activities. The FunShine Contest began yesterday and will run until Aug. 19. Family Channel has teamed up with Dairy Queen, World of Vacations and Carlson Wagonlit Travel for the promotion. The winner of the contest will receive a family getaway to the Vista Playa de Or Resort in Mexico. The contest is being promoted at tour events with game pieces called Scrambler Cards. Each card carries a secret code that is revealed when the car is held up to a coloured box that appears onscreen on weekday afternoons on Family Channel. Participants enter the code at the <http://www.family.ca> Web site to see if they have won one of 1,500 Dairy Queen gift certificates. Participants can also enter the grand prize draw at the site. Promotional spots for the contest and tour will appear six times a day on Family Channel for the duration of the tour. The ads were created and produced by Triangle Studio and Pointman! Productions.
