CANFAR HIRES ZEPPELIN TO HANDLE HAVE A HEART CAMPAIGN

The Canadian Foundation for Aids Research has hired Zeppelin Communications & Design of Toronto to develop its 2003 Have a Heart campaign. The annual fundraising initiative targets students in middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities in Canada. Its aim is to educate these students about HIV/Aids prevention and raise funds for research. Poly-bagged "Heart o'Grams" consisting of an HIV/Aids pamphlet, an Aids ribbon tattoo or pin and a Nestle chocolate bar will be sold as Valentine's Day gifts. Toronto-based Nestle Canada has been a sponsor of the Have a Heart campaign for the past four years. A new component this year is a scratch and win card in each "Heart o'Gram." The cards are intended to reward schools that participate in the campaign with instant win prizes from corporate sponsors. Creative for the program includes posters, bathroom ads, direct mail pieces, a contest Web page and the scratch and win cards. All creative will be done by Zeppelin. The agency won the assignment in an agency review.
