WASSERMAN & PARTNERS CREATE NEW TELEVISION SPOTS FOR WORKERS COMPENSATION BOARD

Vancouver-based Wasserman & Partners has created two new television commercials for British Columbia's Workers Compensation Board. The 30-second spots are part of an ongoing campaign to reduce back injuries. The campaign began last fall with five commercials. "The original spots in the campaign were very successful at getting across the message that you need to lift properly to protect your back," said Scott McCloy, director of communications for WCB. "We anticipate that using a similar whimsical approach will catch people's attention to educate them about back rehabilitation." The two new ads address issues concerning back injury rehabilitation. The first shows a woman sitting in an office chair. Without moving her back, she travels across her office and outside. In the second ad a man lies on a mechanics crawler while working under a car. He comes out from under the car, leaves the building and goes to the bus stop, still on the crawler. The spots will run during June and again for five weeks in the fall.
