BREWER HIRES FIRST MEDIA BUYING AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
Stratégem of Montreal picked up the $200,000 media buying assignment for Quebec brewer Brasal earlier this month. The agency was given the business after being recommended by another party, agency spokesperson Sylvain Beauregard told Adnews yesterday. Media buying was previously done in-house but Brasal decided to hire an agency because the task had grown to a point where it needed professionals to handle it, managing director Etan Jagermann says in a release. Creative is handled in-house and by agencies working on a project basis. Brasal makes German beers that are sold in Quebec, Ontario and some northern U.S. states. Its brands include Brasal, Brasal Light, Bock, Special Amber and Hopps Brau. The next campaign for the brewer will be launched in late spring.
