WESTERN BANK FOCUSES ON CONSUMERS

The Canadian Western Bank of Edmonton is changing its advertising focus and has hired Market Kool Marketing Inc. to help. The bank is launching a radio and print campaign later this month for the RRSP season. In the past CWB focused its advertising on the commercial sector, agency partner Margaret Kool told Adnews last week. "Now that they have an established commercial base, they know its time to move into the consumer market," says cool. Her Edmonton agency was hired for the business because it has done projects for CWB before. The incumbent shop was Palmer Jarvis Advertising of Vancouver. CWB has 20 branches in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
