VICKERS & BENSON CREATES CAMPAIGN FOR ONTARIO PORK

Vickers & Benson Cos. Ltd. of Toronto has created a new marketing campaign for The Ontario Pork Producers Marketing Board. Ontario Pork represents the province's 4,200 hog farmers. Called "Farm to Fork", the campaign is a three-year initiative that began late last month with half-page newspaper ads in smaller rural markets in Ontario. The creative depicts individuals and families involved in the industry discussing issues including water quality and manure management. Full-page ads in urban newspapers including The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Windsor Star and London Free Press will follow. These will focus on issues such as the economic benefits of hog farming. The advertising will run until June. A second wave is planned for the fall.
