By Adnews Staff
Pfizer Canada of Kirkland, PQ debuted a new awareness commercial last night connects erectile difficulties with common medical conditions. Pfizer manufactures the prescription drug Viagra. Sixty- and thirty-second versions of the ad, entitled "Straight Goods", are running nationally in English and French. Created by Taxi Advertising, the spot shows a series of black and white photographs of a man who is experiencing erectile difficulties and its effects on his relationship. It will run until the end of July. "The campaign has a documentary feel which fits with our goal to help educate men about common causes of ED: hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes and stress," said Silvie Letendre, senior manager of corporate affairs at Pfizer Canada. The commercial is the second awareness spot Taxi has created for Pfizer. The first, called "Doctor Appointment", was released last year. It depicted a man at an appointment with his doctor who decides not to mention his difficulties. Public relations for Viagra are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
