MONTY QUITS AS CHAIRMAN, CEO OF BCE

Jean Monty has resigned as chairman and chief executive officer of BCE Inc. Michael Sabia will take over as chief executive officer. Sabia is currently president and chief operating officer of BCE and chief operating officer of Bell Canada. Richard Currie has been appointed non-executive chairman. Currie was formerly president of George Weston Ltd. and currently a director on BCE's board.
