ALLIANCE ATLANTIS CUTS BROADCAST GROUP

Alliance Atlantis Communications is reducing the staff of its broadcast group. Effective immediately 35 permanent full-time positions in the group will be eliminated. The broadcast group operates the specialty channels in which Alliance Atlantis holds an ownership interest including Showcase, Life Network, History Television, Discovery Health Channel and BBC Canada.
