MAPLE LEAF SPORTS BEGINS LEAFS TV AND RAPTORS TV CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment will begin a new advertising campaign for its Leafs TV and Raptors NBA TV specialty channels this month. The campaign will include a major presence in Toronto's Union Station. Backlit signs, floor advertising, column wraps, wall murals and door stickers in the Go Transit station will target commuters. The creative, developed by Art & Soul Design of Toronto, uses a deep blue colour for Leafs TV and purple for Raptors NBA TV. "We have to make an instant emotional connection to create the high product awareness that will impel commuters to purchase the digital channels," said Andrew Amtfield, president of Art & Soul. The integrated campaign also includes radio, television and arena advertising at the Air Canada Centre. Public relations are being handled by NextMedia Company, also of Toronto.
