ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS AND HANDSPRING BRING TREO CANADA

Handspring Inc. of Mountain View, CA and Rogers AT&T Wireless of Toronto have formed an agreement to bring Handspring's Treo 180 Communicator to Canada next month. The device is the first in a new line of products from Handspring that combine a cel phone, a wireless messaging application and a Palm OS organizer. It will be distributed nationally through Rogers AT&T Wireless' dealers and retail locations including RadioShack, Future Shop and Business Depot, as well as online at <http://www.rogers.com>. The Treo is aimed at business professionals. Rogers AT&T Wireless offers another device called the V-box which is aimed at the youth market. The V-box combines a cel phone with text messaging capabilities. Advertising for Rogers AT&T Wireless breaking in May will promote the Treo, but the specifics of that campaign have not yet been determined.
