CAMPAIGN PITCHES OLD MILWAUKEE AS GOOD BEER, STRANGELY INEXPENSIVE

Billboard and radio ads are part of a new campaign for Old Milwaukee Beer in Ontario. Created by Toronto-based Holmes & Lee, the campaign also includes several promotions and in-store materials at Ontario Beer Stores. The tagline "Good Beer. Strangely Inexpensive." is used in a series of billboard executions that depict a glass of beer and the headlines "Recession? Beautiful", "Tax Season? Fantastic" and "Drink fiscally responsibly." Radio creative highlights a $5.00 discount on a case of 24. The campaign broke in late February and will run throughout the summer. Old Milwaukee Beer is part of a portfolio acquired in Canada by Sleeman Breweries from Stroh in 1999.
