LEVI'S DEBUTS NEW STORE DESIGN

Levi Strauss & Co. (Canada) Inc. of Richmond Hill, ON debuted a new store design at its Toronto Eaton Centre location yesterday. The store is the first in Canada to make use of the new design which incorporates moveable poles and curved shelves. The retail format was created by Checkland Kindleysides, a design firm in the United Kingdom, and adapted for Canada by Toronto design firm Burdifilek. According to Levi Strauss, the designers were inspired by the layout and display of food at European-style markets. In addition to the Toronto Eaton Centre location, five other Levi's Stores in Canada will adopt the new design this year. Public relations for Levi Strauss Canada are handled by APEX Public Relations of Toronto.
