TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX PROMOTES MOVIE WITH ICE SCULPTURE

Twentieth Century Fox has put a seven foot ice sculpture on display in front of the Royal Ontario Museum. The 1,800 lb sculpture is of Manny the Mammoth, a character from the studio's animated film "Ice Age", which will be released in Canada on Friday. The sculpture is accompanied by banners depicting three other characters from the movie: Sid the sloth, Diego the sabre-tooth tiger and Scrat the sabre-toothed squirrel. Each day between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. staff from Toronto-based Roar Media work the display, distributing "Ice Age" bookmarks, activity books and posters as well as taking free pictures of children with the characters. The promotion is a collaboration between Twentieth Century Fox, its media agency Mindshare Canada and Roar Media.
