UPS BEGINS BROWN CAMPAIGN

UPS Canada of Mississauga will begin a new advertising campaign next month which asks the question, "What can BROWN do for you?" Created by U.S.-based The Martin Agency, the campaign is the largest in UPS' 95-year history. According to the delivery company, the colour brown has become closely associated with its delivery vehicles and the uniforms of its drivers. The television advertising broke in the U.S. during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. It be supported with national print advertising. In Canada only the television component will run, but the ads may be supported by a second medium, said UPS Canada spokesperson Susan Webb. The delivery company's Canadian advertising agency of record is Ammirati Puris of Toronto. Its public relations are handled by Edelman Public Relations.
