BOWDENS GOES ON-LINE

Bowdens clipping service of Toronto is now ready to cull items from the Internet for clients. Bowdens has entered into a licensing agreement with eWorks of New York and Minneapolis to provide its new service, called eWatch. Bowdens is scanning more than 15,000 Usenet newsgroups, as well as Internet mailing lists and forums on major commercial on-line services. The Canadian company is also launching two other on-line services, called Media Search and Media Alert, for television and radio news searches. Media Search allows users to dial directly into Bowdens' database to seek items by key words, region or outlet. Media Alert customers receive broadcast monitoring updates by e-mail throughout the day. In addition, Bowdens will be releasing a Windows version of its media directory early this year, containing over 11,000 media contacts.
