PJ DDB DOWNTOWN RENAMED DOWNTOWN PARTNERS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto's PJ DDB Downtown has been renamed Downtown Partners. The division was created in 1999 as a stand-alone unit of Palmer Jarvis DDB to handle work for client Labatt Breweries of Canada. The renaming is part of a restructuring that began late last month. The agency will also become a member company of DDB Group Canada. It will continue to service clients Labatt Breweries of Canada, beer.com and Anheuser Busch Inc. in the United States as well as seek new clients. Toronto junior hockey team the St. Michael's Majors has hired Downtown Partners for its first-ever advertising campaign. Continuing to head the agency are client services director Jeff McCrory and creative director Dan Pawych. Other companies in DDB Group Canada include Palmer Jarvis DDB, Anderson and Griffin Bacal Volny.
