COCA-COLA BEGINS DIET COKE BREAK CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based Coca-Cola has started a campaign for Diet Coke called "Break". The campaign first ran in the United Kingdom last year. Created by Weiden and Kennedy of London and adapted for the Canadian market by Cossette Communication-Marketing, the campaign consists of three 30-second television commercials that follow the romantic encounters of two office workers on their breaks. The tagline is "It's your life." The first spot in the series, called "Introduction", began a two-week run in English Canada this week. The second spot, called "Close Friends", will run for three weeks in October. The third spot, called "Love Letter", will conclude the campaign with a two-week run in November.
