TOSHIBA TEES-UP NEW CONTEST

Toshiba of Canada, Information Systems Group, based in Markham, ON, has opened a contest called "Toshiba Tee-Off" in which the purchaser of a Toshiba 3000 series notebook can win a golf vacation. Until October 31, any customer who purchases a 3000 series notebook can enter to win a one-week all expenses paid golf vacation for four to golf courses in Pebble Beach, California, Mauna Kea, Hawaii and Sawgrass, Florida. Second prize winners will receive their computers for free. A random draw will be held on November 16. A national advertising campaign in newspapers and magazines will support the contest. Advertisements running in The Globe & Mail, National Post, Maclean's and Canada Business feature a globe in the form of a golf ball sitting on a tee. Advertising for Toshiba is done by Ambrose Carr Linton Carroll of Toronto. Public relations are handled by Environics Communications of Toronto.
