GROCERY GATEWAY BUYS DIRECT HOME DELIVERY, SKULOGIX

Grocery Gateway, the Mississauga-based online grocery service, has acquired Direct Home Delivery and Skulogix Inc. Direct Home Delivery operates third-party delivery services in urban areas including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. Its business will be integrated into Grocery Gateway's existing operations. Toronto-based Skulogix provides "e-fulfillment" services to retailers. It will operate as an independent subsidiary of Grocery Gateway. Financial details of the Direct Home Delivery buy have not been disclosed. The acquisition of Skulogix was completed through the issuance of Grocery Gateway stock. "These strategic moves greatly strengthen Grocery Gateway both financially and operationally, and position us well for future growth," said Al Sellery, president and chief executive officer of Grocery Gateway.
