MARTIN SHORT TAKES ON ROLE FOR LIVER FOUNDATION

Actor Martin Short will appear in a new national public service campaign from the Canadian Liver Foundation. Short, who agreed to be the Toronto-based Foundation's spokesperson earlier this year, will be featured in a series of 30-second television and radio spots on the theme "Liver disease can affect anyone." The campaign's first set of spots, called "The Factory," will aim to educate people on the role of the liver in the functioning of the body. The second set of spots, called "Home Movie", will be released later this year. Those spots will focus on the impact of liver disease on individuals and families. New creative will be released quarterly, according to the Foundation, for what it is hoping will become an annual campaign. The Canadian Liver Foundation worked with Blue Moon Productions of Toronto to create the campaign.
