YAHOO CANADA OFFERS TAX TOOLS

Yahoo Canada has struck up a relationship with Taxamatic Inc. of Richmond Hill, ON to offer a line of Web-based tax tools to its users. The Yahoo Tax Centre, located at <http://www.yahoo.ca>, includes an RRSP calculator which lets users find out how much tax they save with an RRSP contribution, and a monthly spending calculator which lets a person find out how much money they'll need to save. Yahoo's Tax Centre also offers tax tips and links as well as two methods for filing tax returns: an interactive online tax return preparation for $8 that will complete one tax return, or a software program available for $24.95 that allows a user to complete an unlimited number of returns. Online banner ads throughout Yahoo Canada properties and a public relations campaign from Environics Communications of Toronto are promoting the Yahoo Tax Centre.
