SWEAT HAPPENS IN SPEED STICK SPOT

Colgate-Palmolive Canada broke a new spot for Lady Speed Stick on New Year's Day with the tagline "Sweat happens, be ready for it." Created by Toronto-based Young & Rubicam Canada, the ad comes in 15- and 30-second versions in both English and French. In it, two bridesmaids in the washroom at a wedding reception are caught making disparaging remarks about the groom by the bride, who was in a nearby stall. "We all know that people don't just sweat as a result of exercise," said Y&R president John Farquhar. "We wanted to capture a sticky situation that can cause a woman to sweat, and tell a story about being prepared for that situation in a humorous way that women can relate to."
