By Adnews Staff
Brian MacDonald, founder, president and CEO of the Toronto-based Pixelboard Network, has acquired full control of the company after closing a deal with chairman Stuart Brandy to acquire Brandy's 50% share of the company. Financial details were not disclosed. Pixelboard Network is a national network of electronic message boards. MacDonald founded the company in 1983. Brandy acquired his share of the company in 1992 when the company went through a re-organization. At that time Brandy was doing consulting work for Pixelboard through his business management consulting practice Brandy Media Corporation. He plans to restart that practice. Brandy has also signed a sales agency agreement with Pixelboard to represent the network to advertisers. MacDonald said future plans for Pixelboard include expanding to additional major market locations as well as implementing technological improvements to existing displays. Pixelboard currently operates in 14 markets across Canada from Vancouver to Halifax.
