HASBRO CONSOLIDATES MEDIA ACCOUNT WITH OPTIMEDIA

Montreal-based Hasbro Canada has consolidated its Canadian media planning and buying business with Optimedia Canada. Previously the account had been split between Optimedia, the media arm of Publicis, and a separate media division of Palmer Jarvis DDB. "At the end of the day, we had two agencies handling the media business in Canada and we made a decision to consolidate that business," Susan Spiegel, director of marketing services for Hasbro said. Spiegel would not comment on the details surrounding the consolidation of the business. Creative for Hasbro Canada is and will continue to be done by a number of U.S. agencies.
