MOVERS SHAKERS

Young & Rubicam has lost its vice president and creative director, David Adams, and its senior vice president and group client service director, Martin Kingston. Last week the two resigned their positions after several years with the agency. Adams, who first joined Y&R in 1995, led the agency's creative department in conjunction with John Farquhar, president and chief creative officer. Kingston has been with the agency for the past three years, working on several of Y&R's key accounts. Farquhar will act as interim creative director until a replacement for Adams is appointed. A decision regarding a replacement either internally or externally for Kingston will be made over the next couple of days as the agency continues restructuring several of its departments.

Modem Media Canada has named Brian Bolshin vice president of business development. Bolshin will be responsible for providing long-term strategic solutions to both existing and prospective clients. He joins Modem Media from Grey Canada where he held the role of vice president of strategic planning and business development.
