COLGATE-PALMOLIVE BRUSHES UP

Colgate-Palmolive Canada Inc. of Toronto has introduced a new battery-powered toothbrush called Colgate Actibrush to the oral care market in Canada. The portable new toothbrush features a round oscillating head with soft bristles and a plastic case which provides the convenience of taking it anywhere. The Actibrush is equipped with two double A Energizer alkaline batteries that are expected to last for three months of brushing. The Colgate Actibrush retails for approximately $29.99 at grocery and drug stores and mass merchants across Canada. The rollout of the new toothbrushes is being supported with a television advertising campaign adapted for the Canadian market by Young & Rubicam of Toronto. The campaign, called "Oscilloscope," is being supported in-stores with counter/floor displays and coupons as well as a public relations campaign from Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto.
