HIGH ROAD RESTRUCTURES AGENCY DIVISIONS

High Road Communications has appointed Dominique LaCassee to head up its new Chips, Fiber Optics and Broadband division. LaCassee most recently operated his own firm Wild West Communications, serving clients in the British Columbia market and joins High Road as vice president. His appointment and the launch of the new division is accompanied by the agency re-organizing its other divisions. High Road's Telecom/Datacom and Hardware division will be incorporated into the new Enterprise and Wireless Applications unit, headed up by managing partner Rick Doyon. The agency's E-commerce and Internet Applications division will be incorporated into the new Consumer Technologies unit, headed by vice president Monta Kerr-Johnson and the new Chips, Fiber Optics and Broadband division, to be headed up by LaCassee, incorporates the agency's previous Emerging Technologies division. The B2B and e-Business Software division will continue to be headed by senior partner Mia Wedgbury. Wedgbury explained the introduction of the new Chips, Fiber Optics division is in response to the tremendous growth of the fiber optics and broadband sectors. The division will service clients such as Mosaid Technologies Inc., Unique Broadband Systems and Metro Photonics. The re-organization of the remaining three divisions is in line with the agency's decision to focus on the high-tech sector.
