TURBULENCE ABSORBED INTO MACLAREN MCCANN
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Turbulence Communications is being absorbed by its parent company MacLaren McCann. Founder Geoff Arnoldi is jumping to Molson Inc. next month as vice president of business development. He said he hopes to have all of Turbulence's clients settled, either with MacLaren or elsewhere, before he assumes his new job. Turbulence opened its doors in April of 1999 and built an account roster that included Nestle Nescafe, Yahoo Canada, Perrier Group of Canada, Snapple and Centennial College. Arnoldi said he decided to take the job with Molson, a decision which ultimately led to the closing of the agency, because of "tremendous short and long term opportunities." Client plans were being worked out at press time and additional details could not be confirmed. A report in the National Post cited an unnamed source as saying Nestle Canada may hold an informal review for its Nescafe brand.
