National Public Relations' new senior partner and national executive vice president, James Crossland, joins the agency October 1. Crossland will be working out of the agency's Montreal and Ottawa offices with a brief to expand National Public Relations' government relations practice. He will also be involved in the national management of the firm. Previously Crossland was president and chief executive officer of the Canadian operations of GPC International.
TBWA Chiat/Day has appointed Paul Kron the agency's new associate planning director. Kron will work on the Sears Canada and Nissan/Infiniti accounts. Prior to joining TBWA, Kron was director of account planning at Gee, Jeffery & Partners. Also on the move are Olga Romero-Marshall and Dru Lynch, who have both been promoted from account directors to group account directors. Romero-Marshall will expand her responsibilities on the Petro Points Loyalty program, Sears Club strategy and the Nissan/Infiniti accounts, while Lynch expands his duties on the Nissan and Infiniti Canada accounts.
Agencythreepointzero has added a trio of new faces to its staff. Troy McGuinness has been appointed art director working on the Royal Airlines and Inquent Technologies accounts. Most recently, McGuinness held the same position at Ogilvy & Mather. Lyranda Martin-Evans joins the Toronto-based shop as a writer, having graduated from the advertising program at Toronto's Humber College. Lesley Konieczny takes on the role of account executive. Konieczny held the same title at Saatchi and Saatchi.
