BURGER KING LAUNCHES AGENCY REVIEW
By Adnews Staff
Mikel Durham, Burger King Corporation's North American president, has announced that the fast food chain's U.S. advertising account is being put into review. Durham cited "disappointing results" as her reason for putting the $400 million account into review. She also added that Lowe Lintas, Burger King's current agency-of-record, will be invited to participate in the review but will be expected to bring "a drastically new approach." Burger King's African-American and Hispanic advertising agencies UniWorld and Bromley Aguilar are not affected by the review. In Canada, advertising for Toronto-based Burger King Restaurants of Canada is handled by Ammirati Puris. Calls to Ammirati were not returned by press time.
