COLGATE-PALMOLIVE NOW HAS SOMETHING TO SINGING ABOUT

Toronto-based Colgate Palmolive Canada Inc. is promoting the its new Musical Cap Barney toothpaste with in-store displays and a print advertising push in professional trade publications. The singing toothpaste is designed for kids in the 2- to 6-years-old age group. When opened, the toothpaste tube plays a Barney song for 70 seconds. The song is intended to encourage kids to brush their teeth for a full minute, with ten extra seconds allowed for kids to apply the toothpaste to their toothbrushes. Musical Cap Barney is available nationwide in drug stores, mass merchandisers and grocery stores. In-store displays are being supported with print ads in CDA Journal, Oral Health magazine and Oral Care Report. Advertising was created by the Armstrong Partnership Ltd. of Toronto. Public relations supporting the launch are being handled by Polaris Public Relations of Toronto.
