SUBWAY OFFERS MORE CHOICE TO CUSTOMERS

Subway Restaurants of Milford, Connecticut is expanding its menu with the North American launch of the Subway Selects line. Subway Selects consists of four new sauces, four new sandwiches and the addition of several new sandwich breads to its offerings. In-stores, customers are seeing the expanded menu on new menu boards. The submarine sandwich chain's four new "selects" sandwiches are horseradish roast beef, southwest steak and cheese, chicken asiago caesar and honey mustard melt with ham, turkey and bacon. The sandwiches in the line each feature one of the four new sauces: horseradish, southwest, asiago caesar and honey mustard. Subway is also offering customers up to five new bread choices for its sandwiches: hearty italian, parmesan oregano, harvest wheat, sesame italian and sourdough. The Subway Selects line is being supported with two new television commercials running throughout North America featuring Subway's new shadow puppet spokesperson. The commercials introduce the line to customers and will be followed up with additional spots focusing on individual aspects of the line. Advertising for Subway is done by Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/EURO RSCG of New York. The Subway Selects line is expected to launch in international markets in the upcoming months.
