H&R BLOCK UNVEILS NEW LOGO

Kansas City-based H&R Block is continuing its transformation from a tax season service to a year round financial advisor with the debut of a new company logo. Created by Landor Associates of San Francisco, the new logo features a large, green block with the company's name to the right. The redesign of H&R Block's logo is the first in more than two decades. The announcement of a new logo is part of the company's new brand identity program. Also changing, as part of the program, is the names of many H&R Block's business units including Olde Discount Brokerage to H&R Block Financial Advisors and Block Financial Corporation's software division to H&R Block e-solutions. According to H&R Block, the company wants to combine a consistent look with a consistent name to define what the brand means to consumers. Rollout of the new logo is expected over the course of the next several months. H&R Block operates over 10,000 offices in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
