KELLOGG'S JACKS PACK TEAM HARD AT WORK
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Kellogg Canada has officially announced the 21 members of its new marketing team responsible for the re-launch of its Apple Jacks cereal brand in Canada. The team is part of a new marketing initiative from Kellogg and is the first ever brand management team made up of kids from across the country. Jacks Pack will be responsible for marketing decisions regarding the Apple Jacks brand including product packaging, choosing a new look and taste for the cereal and creating the supporting advertising campaign. The Jacks Pack team has already begun working on the re-launch of the brand. Three new Apple Jacks packaging designs were announced earlier this week. The winning designs were chosen by the team from over 2,000 entries received in a packaging design contest held earlier this year. The team has also announced the "Chose Your Cereal Colour" contest in which kids from across Canada can vote on whether or not to change the colour of Apple Jacks cereal. The team will be working on a new commercial supporting the contest this week. The spot is expected to launch mid-August. The Jacks Pack team will be working with a representative from the NRG Group, a team of Kellogg's marketing employees, Apple Jacks' advertising agency Leo Burnett, Kellogg's public relations agency Media Profile and DraftWorldwide Canada, all of Toronto. The first winning design for the cereal boxes is expected to rollout in three months. The new cereal colour is expected to be on shelves by the end of the year.
