TRANSCONTINENTAL E.MEDIA SUBSIDIARY ACQUIRES INFINET COMMUNICATIONS

Montreal-based Transcontinental Group has acquired a majority interest in the Toronto-based marketing agency Infinet Communications Inc. Infinet specializes in relationship-building communication tools that allows for communication between individuals and corporate brands. The agency has a staff of 30 and counts Pfizer (Viagra), Canadian Kawasaki and Sympatico's HealthyWay consumer information portal among its client roster. According to Transcontinental, Infinet is ideally positioned to complement its interactive marketing subsidiary, Transcontinental E.media, which specializes in interactive marketing solutions. Financial details were not disclosed.
