CBC TURNS TO AMMIRATI PURIS LINTAS FOR NEW LOOK
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has turned to Toronto-based Ammirati Puris Lintas to create a new look for the broadcaster's English television operations, according to a report in The Globe and Mail. The agency has been hired to create a new branding and marketing strategy, the report says, that could involve altering the entire on-air look, style and feel of the network. Ammirati will work with CBC's in-house staff on the re-branding effort, which is expected to include an overhaul of the broadcaster's program advertising campaign, its English Internet operations, licensing and merchandising, and the CBC logo. The campaign is expected to launch this fall in conjunction with the start of the new television season.
