NOW LAUNCHES FREE THINKING CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based NOW Magazine is launching a new advertising campaign this week as part of the publication's "Think Free" branding initiative. "We wanted to create a playful but arresting exploration of freedom," said NOW editor and CEO Alice Klein, "while at the same time making NOW's unique vision and position in Toronto's crowded media marketplace more explicit." The campaign was created in-house and consists of a series of four ads. The ads are designed to illustrate a "free" state of mind, calling on themes of free floating, free speech, free hand and fancy free. Each ad uses the tagline "Think Free." The campaign breaks tomorrow in the Toronto market for an eight week run using street posters, media boards in downtown bars and restaurants, full page ads in NOW, box cards in NOW's streetboxes and signage in selected retail outlets. A ten week radio campaign will support the print campaign.
