J. WALTER THOMPSON ACQUIRES TORONTO MARKETING FIRM

J. Walter Thompson Company of New York has acquired Toronto-based e-business marketing firm Interactive Marketing Concepts. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. IMC provides digital advertising, promotions and e-commerce program services to clients including Parke Davis, Dairy Farmers of Ontario and Liberty Health. The firm will operate as an independent brand of J. Walter Thompson Group Canada and will continue to be led by president Stuart Sherman. According to JWT, the acquisition is part of the company's continuing expansion into digital and interactive communications. IMC has a staff of 25.
