NINTENDO'S POKEMON TAKING CROSS CANADA TRIP

In support of the March 8th release of the newest Pokemon game, Pokemon Stadium for Nintendo 64, Vancouver-based Nintendo of Canada Ltd. is travelling across Canada in the Nintendo Pokemon 2000 Stadium Tour. Beginning February 26th and running through April 9th, Nintendo's Stadium Tour will be stopping at shopping centres across Canada, encouraging both experienced and beginner Pokemon players to participate in possible tournament competitions and special Pokemon merchandise giveaways. For more details on what's happening at local tour stops, fans will be directed to the Pokemon 2000 Stadium Tour Web page at <http://www.nintendo.ca>. Nintendo of Canada is also getting set to launch a new advertising campaign in support of the game. English and French television ads, from Toronto-based Leo Burnett, will break February 28th and March 6th respectively. Additional print advertising running in kids and tweens magazines such as Kids Tribute, Bang and Debrouillards and a YTV promotion launching March 20th will also be promoting the game. The Pokemon 2000 Stadium Tour is being supported with public relations from Toronto-based GCI Group.
