CHAMPION AND GENERAL MOTORS DRIVE NEW GRIZZLIES PROMOTION

Official outfitter of the Vancouver Grizzlies Champion Canada of Mississauga, Ontario and General Motors of Oshawa, Ontario have teamed up to increase awareness of the Champion and Pontiac brands as well as their sponsorship of the Vancouver Grizzlies Basketball Club. The "Win a Pontiac Sunfire for a Year" promotion runs from February 28th through March 20th within the lower-mainland of Vancouver. Twenty-one Superstar Athletic locations in the lower-mainland will promote the contest targeting young adults and Vancouver Grizzlies basketball fans. To enter, consumers fill out a ballot for a chance to win a Pontiac Sunfire lease for a year and Champion athletic NBA apparel. Four contest finalists will be drawn and will receive two tickets to the March 25th Vancouver Grizzlies verses Utah Jazz game. During half time each finalist will choose a key and attempt to start the Sunfire. The contest will be supported with promotional materials such as ballot boxes, backer cards and contest posters in Superstar Athletic locations. A direct mail campaign to over 15,000 market specific consumers between 19-28 years of age will also be launched.
