ANHEUSER-BUSCH RUNNING 10 SPOTS ON SUPER BOWL

Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis, Missouri is getting set to run 10 spots in upcoming Super Bowl XXXIV on January 30, 2000. The brewer returns as the event's exclusive beer category sponsor, a title it has retained for the past 12 years and through agreements with ABC, CBS and FOX will retain through to Super Bowl XXXVI. "In terms of audience reach, the Super Bowl is the greatest advertising platform in the world," said Tony Ponturo, vice president of corporate media and sports marketing, Anheuser-Busch. The ten 30-second spots scheduled to run throughout the game will be promoting mostly the Budweiser and Bud Light brands. Advertising for Anheuser-Busch is handled by a roster of 16 agencies.
