FAMILY DRIVING VIEWERS CRAZY OVER BRITNEY SPEARS PROMOTION

The Toronto-based entertainment network Family is supporting their premier of "Britney Spears and Joey McIntyre In Concert" presentation in January with a six week promotion called "It's Time for Britney on Family". The promotion, in partnership with Zomba Records of Toronto and Rainbow Fun Toys of Mississauga, Ontario, is giving viewers the chance to win one of 10 grand prizes consisting of a framed, autographed poster of Britney Spears and a Family prize pack. The promotion is running from December 26, 1999 through February 4, 2000 and is being supported with a 45-second commercial and on-air promo spots informing viewers of the concert presentation. Additional plans include Family's Web site at <http://www.family.ca>. Encore presentations of the concert special will be aired again on January 18, 22 and 27. Viewers will be directed to tune in and name the first song Britney Spears sings to enter the contest. Additional prizes include: the Britney Spears doll, her latest single and her latest video. Family is also considering incorporating print advertising but plans have not been confirmed. Advertising for Family is handled in-house.
