TSN DISTRIBUTES 25,0000 Z-CARDS

Toronto-based sports network TSN is using a new marketing tool to increase the awareness of its live event programming and on-air personalities. Working in conjunction with Z-Card North America-Canada of Brampton, Ontario, the network has distributed 25,000 Z-Cards to its cable affiliates, advertisers, media buyers and viewers. The design of the cards, from Faith of Toronto, is consistent with TSN's on-air presentation, which Faith also created. TSN included the Z-Cards in its marketing strategy in an effort to emphasize its position as the most watched sports channel in Canada. The cards were distributed as an insert in the December issue of CSR Communicator magazine and released in conjunction with the network's Sports Program and Research Guide. Additional mediums included in the marketing strategy are: on-air promotions, print and radio advertising and Web site promotion. Advertising for TSN is done by BBDO Canada. Media buying is handled by The Media Company. Both agencies are based in Toronto.
